It's been a weird couple of days. I didn't really post much because I didn't really draw much. Work was pretty exhausting last week and drained me of my desire to draw. This week I kinda feel like I am standing on top of a giant mountain of to-do things, both at work and in my personal life. I wish I had some kind of magical assistant. The more work I seem to get, the more I just want to slug around and read. Bad, Bad Isa.

In other news, my antennas are gone. By that I mean the really long bangs I wear on both sides of my head. I decided to cut my hair really short and donated the antennas to "Wigs for Cancer" (I wasn't sure my antennas were long enough to be donated but yay, they were!). My hair is now really short. It's a nice change, easy to manage and it looks really cute. I really needed a change, as much as I loved my antenna hairdo. I think I might still keep drawing myself with that hairdo even if my real hair is spiky and short.

On the same day I got my hair cut I also jam packed a visit to the doctor's, dentist and oculist. I am in top shape (and out a fare share of money. curse you, lack of insurance! But I feel GOOOOD!)

This weekend I was out in Montreal. I wanted to go to the Montreal anime con (I was even invited to share an artist table) but in the end I spent the weekend slugging around on Link's furniture, with the exception of attending a Bar Mitzfa (Link's cousin's) which was pretty fun to watch (I wonder what it feels like to be top-jew-on-chair-being-carried-around heehee).

My first artwork of the week, finally getting slowly back into drawing.... It's a Princess Tutu Fanart and my entry for the Princess Tutu Club August Contest, ment to depict secondary characters. I chose to illustrate Drosselmeyer and Edel, specifically the creation of Edel. This is non-canon, since it was never explained how Edel was created, but I pictured Drosselmeyer using the hearts of blue birds to create a heart jewel allowing Edel to move, do his bidding and eventually develop feelings. It's a bit gruesome and creepy. It's a given fact that I add gruesome to everything that I draw. Drosselmeyer was already a good 7 on 10 in the creepy-o-matic scale though...

I am also doing Collaborations with [livejournal.com profile] kokumi009  (Piku-chan on Deviant art). We both exchanged sketches and are meant to alter and finish the given sketch. Piku got hers done right away. I'm still behind due to the insanity of last week. But lo and behold the Fantastic Job Piku did from my old LON possession sketch. It's amazing! I love it! It reminds me that I really need to learn photoshop and stop coloring EVERYTHING with inks and watercolors.

LON = HAWT.

As a final note GOOD GOD IT HAS TO STOP RAINING! IT'S BEEN RAINING ALMOST NON STOP FOR 3 WEEKS! ARGH! I AM TIRED OF BEING WET ON SMELLY BUSES!

Over and Out

I forgot to add this to my last post - I was on a huge Ranma kick this weekend (Link, his brother and I read book out the wazoo) and I discovered on Youtube this crossover of Rumiko Takachi's series. I was amused to hear Megumi Hayashibara do a angry female Ranma (Lina inverse tendancies). You thought only Clamp did crazy crossovers (both fanon and canon?). Think again!

Dang dude, are those real?

...oh and tv trope is still crazy addictive. They have a trope about crows. My crow obsession is happily fed. Caw.
