The invasion continues, Mwahahaha
Oct. 31st, 2006 06:48 pmThe rat-tail is making another appearance. He brings art in the form of gifts and abobinations.
How would he do that, you ask? Simple. The first two drawings are a gift I'm going to give my mom for her 50th birthday. The third drawing is a monstrosity that should never have left my pen.
Lets start with this.
I had a particular Idea I wanted to draw for my moms birthday. But after 2 days of trying, I wasn't able to get my idea down to paper. So I decided to turn to symbolism. After a little fiddling, I was able to come out with this.
I actually really really like it. Its a logo thats suppose to symbolise eternal support and an everlasting embrace.
Graphic design speaking, it's a very strong logo, if I do say so myself.
This is the version I'm going to give my mom this saturday, so I added a few filters and a background to make it a little cooler. This is, to be perfectely precise, just a part of the full card I'm going to get printed on a wodden frame.
The second part of the gift is this.
I thought that just the logo wasn't enough, so I ended up doing a drawing of the logo and I then decided to colour it with photoshop. I think It came out pretty damn good.
I know my mom will freaky love it.
...
Whoah... Just this second, I remember where I got the idea for this logo.... it's from one of those suppa cool wooden statues you can find in the shopping mall stalls that come out during christmas time.
Cool.... Brain flashes rock!!!!
Anyways, this is the abobination.
It kinda sucks that the toes are missing, but I was at the bottom of my page so it's kind of a lost cause.
I drew this in between surveys at work. So considering I could only put half my focus on drawing, I'm pretty proud of how it came out.
On an unrelated note: How cool is it that I can draw at work.
Back to the monstrosity.
I'm really not sure what this thing is suppose to be, appart from being damn ugly. Kinda reminds me of a Zen, intergalactic ninja, bad guy. Either that or that green garbage superhero guy. I soooooo can't remember his name. I think he went around with a mop and had four sidekicks. One for recycling paper, one for cans, one for batteries and a fourth for something else.
I figure that this could be what a grey man looks like under his cloak.
Eh, Whatever.
Over and out.
Bye
