fluffy, stringy, tangly, statict-y...

Very girly type of concern.

I would envy the hippy-like girls in my classes that decided that shaving-waxing-generally-removing female body hair was sexist and unatural and had the guts to keep theirs. I'm too self conscious for that. Plus, soft legs are... so soft! Oh, the softy! I shave my legs so I can rub them together and feel the soooooftness in my satin pyjamas :D

I started working on the underaged badass heroes drawing. It's going to be HUGE. But fun. Plus now I have ideas for other badass group images such as Badass Females. Badass Minorities. Badass Mommies (Yes, Mrs Weasley, you're in here!). Badass sword masters, etc. I also wanted to do People who have badass pets. LOL.

Man, i'm so tired and sick this weeka nd nothing gets done. I spend my time sleeping, at work thinking about sleeping, and watching anime on my labtop in bed. Health fail I am.

Not much Rose getting done this week.

p.s. Toronto Anime North - Must remember to call hotel tomorrow to confirm reservations are still A-ok! :D

*whispers* Don't forget to include Ursa in the badass mommies? OK, so she isn't up to Weasley standards, but she did do some stuff. ^_~

...Yeah, she does. *adds her*

On that note, you should think if adding Kala from Disney's Tarzan as a badass mom. I always thought she was one of the best out of the Disney mothers (the few that exsit anyway).

Yes, the curse of femininity is we must suffer for it. I came to the realization that I need to "mow the lawn" before moving day. There will be guy types there and I'm not going to wear shorts looking like Pauline Bunyan...

That's why I always pack the bathroom stuff separatly.

That reminds me, I need to pack some "items" pretty soon...

One of the girls that now games with us is more into the 'hippy' lifestyle and doesn't shave. First time I saw her lift her arms it was a bit of a shock. I hate fighting my hair, but I also REALLY hate the feeling of long hair in places it is not welcome. I too fight the fight against hairy legs and armpits (eew!), but I've let my head's hair win the war there at least. It's just so rebellious that I'm better off letting it do its own thing, since then it actually looks nice.

I'd have to laugh a bit if it's your turn to have the slightly hoarse voice at Anime North this year. Too bad I won't be going though. (I shall also miss more cake!) I hope everything works out for that and that you have a blast there anyway. ^_-

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Hopefully! Anime North won't be the same with less people. Hopefully next year we will have a larger meeting.

When I was in high school, there was a girl who proudly bragged that she didn't shave above the knees. Apparently her mother forbade her from doing so for religious reasons according to her. I was shocked too, and not just that, but the girl stank. Above the knees also included the face (and you know how sensitive I am about that one), so it was pretty unattractive and just looked like she didn't bother to take care of herself, which was really sad too.

Though last I heard from her, she hooked up with her 40-year-old professor when she was 20 ... that alone made me grateful I didn't really keep up with her!

Badass Females for the win.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 12:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Soifon is a good suggestion. I kinda wanted to put Rukia in too...But I want to keep it at one girl per series. Gah! Choosing is hard.

Um ... I'm one of those guys who's not a fan of body hair on women, but I don't think now is a good time to mention that. :-0 Although in my defense, I understand enough about the process that I've never dared demand it of any of my girlfriends!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think women are fans of body hair either. Otherwise, at least half of us would have stopped trying by now. It still seems pretty icky and manly to me. I just wish the process(es - plural for various areas) would be simpler and potentially less harmful to one's skin.

Oh, gosh, never demand it. Most girls will do it on their own because the have aversion for hair but demanding it would unleash the fury of 15 centuries of female frustration in a blatant evil accusation of sexism. For the love of god, avoid! O_O You are indeed wise.

My hair sometimes keeps me up with muttering about wanting to consume souls, or small children. You might remember it from last year's Anime North.

...actually, I did get it cut, so it just curls a bit and vows that its revenge will come one day.

Rawr.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
You're hair is indeed a strange beast.

So fluffy!

I feel your pain. On the one hand, there's no real need to do it, but on the other hand...SOFT LEGS!! *sighs* The troubles of being a girl.

I can't believe we'll be leaving for our trip a week from today! ^_~

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Eee! Trip!

I look forward to trying to score:
-Anything slayers related we don't already have
-Princess tutu dvds (Yes, I am now addicted, this anime consumes my soul!)
- Escaflowne dvds (Nostalgia trip!)
-Something cute and plushy-like.

Oh, this is so funny that you mention this, because I was just thinking this yesterday. I think the only thing I would never be okay with leaving unshaved is my armpits. No joke! My legs and eyebrows and all that could stay hairy, but not under my arms!

Damn, I hate being hairy. Dark hair sucks.

[identity profile] annekay.livejournal.com 2009-05-15 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
i use an epilator

it is fun, and the hair takes longer to grow back, and grows softer. like wax but with no sticky crap to clean up
