Shoe update

I have returned to try and vainquish my sculpture who is must likely laughing of me as we speak. I went with Tanya today at Wallacks to go get some translucent fast-drying plastic thingnamagig. I'm currently testing the fast-drying thingnamagig. See, usually it works in plastic molds. But I don't really have a plastic mold that's shoe-shaped lying around. So I tried testing it in a tin-foil mold. If it doesn't stick to the tin foil, we have a winner. I'll cover a shoe with foil, add plaster to solidify the mold and then make my glass/plastic sole. Huzzah.

So yeah, hopefully it works. All you devout christians out there pray for my transparent resine to not-stick. Although i'm pretty sure god doesn't care about my resine, I'm just at this point now where i'd accept holy help if it helps me create a shoe.

Aside from that, does anyone know if Luna/Neville is considered canon now?

I mean really, did the seven book officialize this or what? I'd appreciate if it did. Neville and Luna definitly got much much cooler in time. Also, do you know what Hogwards house you'd be in? Everyone randomly answers "Griffindor!" just because it's Harry's house. Heck, I bet most people aren't. They're might even be a few Slytherins in the bunch. I don't think slytherin is evil. It's just that Voldemort managed to pull his followers out of there. I'm sure he had non-slytherin followers and slytherin good guys where against him (*cought cought Snape*).

So I think i'm in...

Which house do you think you belong to? My friend Fauve and I had a debate saying that Griffindor and Slytherin contained students with extreme character traits. Sortoff, Hermione could have been a ravenclaw since she was so smart. But she has a very very strong personnality and therefore winded up a grif. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff see to be students with milder personnalities. To me, Ravenclaw as the smart/ weirdoes and Hufflepuff as the loyal, good guys.

And no, Tanya, no cheddar comic. Next post XD

In the last book, she never said anything about the two of them together. In the epilogue, Luna wasn't mentioned at all. Neville was just teaching at Hogwarts.

I think I would be Hufflepuff. I would LIKE to think I would be Ravenclaw, but I'm too flighty, and I think I would add some balls to the house, anyways...

Lastest news in the quibbler:

"Since student Tara Yuki as been accepted at hogwarts, we note a serious elevation of moral and guts in the house of Helga Hufflepuff. One of the students was even seen telling off professor snape. More about Hufflepuff growing a spine on page 11."

BWAHAHAHA.

YES.

In the post-DH interviews, JKR said that Luna married someone else. So, that ship has been sunk unless you get them together and break them up.

DARN IT!

Rowling, how can you destroy myyyyy dreeeeeaaaammms?

Well, if she married someone else, it doesn't mean they NEVER dated right? right?

Someone give me a reason to draw these two XD

I always figured I'd be in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. I think I did take a test way back when and ended up in Ravenclaw. Who says smart/weird types can't have high morals as well? ^_-

Good luck with the shoe!

Everybody I know is either ravenclaw of hufflepuff...We should form our own house group XD I'll make a giant drawing!

[identity profile] ichiban-victory.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
You really need to stop giving me fodder to plot with... As it is I still have other projects I should be working on!

My friends and I once had a similar discussion and they all agreed I would be in Hufflepuff. XD

It's true though, a lot of people really do pick Griffindor because that's where Harry went. It wouldn't kill people to try to be a bit more original.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you can pick griffindor if you have a good reason to be in it. I wish there was a digital sorting hat out there...

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I scored Griffindor with 13 points and Ravenclaw with 12 points.

As someone mentioned before, JKR didn't have Luna and Neville end up together, which is so sad since they're so cute! Ah, well there's always fanfic.

I always end up in Ravenclaw when I take those quizzes. It seems to fit. Or Hufflepuff for me. I'm pretty laid back.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Nooo, come to ravenclaw, be in my house XD

I was a luna/harry then luna/nev shipper. Now I don't get any of them...

*GIP*

*lurks ;)*
Actually, Rowling went as far as to say Luna wouldn't make a good couple with Neville and such... well, you can see it in her webpage, in the rumours part IIRC.

I've always thought that it goes with the stereotypes: Ravenclaw=Sad (and pretty) and clever, Slytherin=ambitious (and succesful) but ultimately foolish, Hufflepuff=Pretty (and good) but dumb, Griffindor=Brave (and heroic) and stupid (in the, 'I'll risk my life for you and you and that random person over there... and I won't even prepare a plan' way, Hermione being a Very Big Exception... though she *did* do some pretty impulsive things now and then).

I have a personality problem, it seems, because I went on a live test for the official fanclub over here, and ended up a Ravenclaw (almost Slytherin, though); Internet tests put me in Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw and most of my friends (and family) say I'm a complete Slytherin.

If you ask me, I'd say I'm a Slytherpuff :D

PS: Sorry for the rant :P

PS2: Luna and Neville look really, really cute in your drawing x) kudos.

Maybe you should go to slytherin, that one at least one person I know would be in there XD
Maybe we can pretend there was a huge school reform creating combined houses, such as slytherpuff!

After all, oz might have wicked witches of the south-west. So why not slytherpuff?

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Ya, I'm pretty sure Luna/Neville isn't cannon, but whatever! Your drawing of them is absolutely adorable!

Personally I still enjoy Luna/Harry.

Regardless....

At one point I would have said I was a Ravenclaw, but its pretty obvious to me now that I'm a Hufflepuff and proud of it!

My ferocious loyalty to my friends cinches it. There are other reasons, but I won't bore you with them.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, non canon material never stopped anyone before right?

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
haha, hell no!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the way you drew the toad. Awesome stylization.

I'm scared of reading to much of your post because it seems like it might have a few spoilers.

I'll read more soon.

bye

I hate to break it to you dear, but according to JKR, Luna eventually marries the grandson of the author of the Beasts book...

Yes, I too felt the Neville love after reading the book. He rocked hard!

I've taken tests where I've ended up in both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, so it's kind of a toss up with me.

Good luck with the shoe project!
