Awesome and confused
So, let's start with the artness!
I drew a picture of Princess Serenity and Sailor Venus looking badass. Well, Venus looks badass anyways. She looks a bit too... butch-ish. But I kinda wanted her to looked bigger and stronger then in other fanarts (I Xena-fied her or something). Plus, in their past lives, she and the other senshi are a bit older then the princess, which might explain the height difference. Anyways. It's not the great art, but I do love it so...

In other news, oh god oh god, why is there so much crap on my computer? I'm slowly trying to re-build my online porfolio. It's hard to find images and decide which ones to take. I'm also in a bit of a pickle, since I seen to be lacking recent "original" art I can use. Lately, I seen to be drawing a lot of fanart or comic pages. I don't seem to be taking the time to draw original non-comic-formatted things. I really should get on that. My portfolio needs more originals...
Maybe fairy tale stuff? and some pretty ladies?
So for the next few weeks, I might be focusing on drawing some cool, non-fandom related things! If you have suggestions, let me know!
It's crazy cold today. I wish I was home in my warm bed...

Suggestion:
What about something based on "The Snow Queen?" OR to get your mind off the cold, some Hawaaian fairytale art? Or Pele...don't get much hotter than a volcano goddess!

As for original stuff, I suggest (humbly) more fantasy stuff, like unicorns and elves and fairies and the like. I think you would do them very well and I would love to see how you portray the different aspects of the Fae world.

I'd suggest drawing fairy tales; they're a good basis for most art, and you can play around it with them, going from traditional fantasy settings to contemporary to sci fi.

I think doing fairytales is a good idea, but why not try drawing each class of a typical fairytale character. Example, having to draw a fairy godmother, a wizard, a thief, a princess, a knight etc. Or you can try drawing different kinds of fairies.

I still vote for Vasilisa and Baba Yaga's house on chicken feet! (Too bad I shifted out my appropriate icon...)

Suggestions from me would be trying to draw something you've never thought before like....
Manchurian China perhaps? Asian fairy tales?

Do you have any mermaids in your portfolio? Ones that maybe look a little less human or have flashy tails or fins everywhere? Or even a reverse mermaid? XD
I've been thinking about looking up/drawing/etc something like this for a while.
Or maybe it's too common. -_-;

Seeing that picture made me think of a card I have somewhere of Mina and Serena looking too much alike, and downright cute. Sometimes, I almost miss that show, but only sometimes. ^_^;

My favorite scout was always Haruka/Uranus (I even went out of my way to look like her). Good times. ^_^
I have a good idea for original portfolio art. Draw caricatures of people you know! It'll be like stealth fanart! ~_^

I am still living and breathing Silver Millennium Sailor Moon stuff. This is what happens when you run a Shitennou & 4 guardian scouts SM tumblr, then take on Jadeite for a Tumblr RP.The details on the inside of the cloak combined with the circle of starry sky really make for a excellent pattern balance against the rest of the piece and really add to it. The expressions are just... OMG the expressions. I just want to print this out and hang it in my cubicle.
(The inclusion of the moon sword always makes me squee.)
For your portfolio, I'd definitely go fairy tales. A lot of creative potential.
