This is the terrifying choice all female artists must face! Or something *laughs* (thanks [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny ).

Don't feel too bad for Olivia. She apparently gets in this sort of trouble all the time. And doesn't even change her pose of anything.

Maybe she just goes out with men who like slamming doors.

Okay enough of that. Let's go see what the feminists were doing in the 50's....

DAAAAAAAAY-UUUUUM.

Hawt glue gun affair.

EDIT : 50's likes weird looking bondage.

Haha! Well, Trevor, it's looking like the hot glue is winning.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe he should have concentrated on being adherent rather then slamming doors.

[identity profile] bonemarch.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Wow the first two are amazing the arts and crafts thing isn't a searious cover, is it?

Yeah in the old days wonder woman's super weakness was having her hands bound together which left her powerless so just... Yeaaaaah.

Also on a fun note apparently she was also created by some psychologist person as well at least so the story goes.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Hum, in fact i'm not sure. It might be a serious cover XD

Heh. She was created by a guy unwilling to hide his love for bondage.

[identity profile] putri-nih.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Hot glue action? They can compromise after all...

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
But the glue is so demanding.

[identity profile] ming85.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
OH MAN that cover. Where on earth do you get stuff like this? BRILLIANT.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I surf the interweb like a pirate and I have funny friends.

[identity profile] ameban.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 09:09 am (UTC)(link)
The heck! It's clear than American artists also use the same art lines again and again... but this time is just WTF. Even if it's a nuinsance, I rather like the first old cover.

And the Wonderwoman doing bondagge scenne... It has tons of subtle texts. Bravo for '50s comics!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I ADORE the first cover.

I love 50's bondage jokes. There's so many!

[identity profile] brendala.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, old comics. They're fun, aren't they?

My favorite source for hilarious comic covers is Superdickery.com. If you go there, be prepared to spend hours laughing your rear off!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Old comic are the best.

Oh man, superdickery. I LOVE that website. I go through their archives every so often.

[identity profile] brendala.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Y'know, I can't help wondering what kind of "crafts" upset Olivia's boyfriend so much that he decided to leave her. ~_^

Oh hey, I forgot to ask. Got some free time somewhere next week?

[identity profile] cxco.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Not so sure about next weekend, but maybe the one after that?

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds good to me so we should meet up somewhere between september 5th and 12th? I'm pretty good on week evenings too. I work 9 to 5. Any dates/times/places in mind perhaps?

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-01 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, I forgot, but I have next Monday off (September 6th). Would you have some time there?

[identity profile] cxco.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
I'm free on September 6th too, though I don't know if anything's open since it's Labor Day... where/what time would you like to meet?

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Stuff on St-Denis might be open since days like that are goldmines for them. So we could always meet on sherbrook station and find a cafe. Plus, there's an amazing "sky doll" themed exhibit at a comic gallery close to sherbrook station. We could hit that, find a cafe, and draw!

Meet around 1-ish?

[identity profile] cxco.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds awesome! So 13h at Sherbrook station on the 6th. Awesome!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
As shall I be! Bring penciilllllsssss!!!!!

Let's meet at the turnstiles since there's like 2 exits.

In case you need to know what I look like : http://www.facebook.com/#!/isabelle.melancon

[identity profile] cxco.livejournal.com 2010-09-02 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Than I shall add you so you know what I look like!

[identity profile] snapdragon76.livejournal.com 2010-09-03 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
LAWL!! This is too too funny. I love how they don't even try to hide the fact they used the exact same picture.

And damn those Paradise Islanders were kinky!!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-03 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Boat tickets please! *laughs*

[identity profile] snapdragon76.livejournal.com 2010-09-03 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
ROFL!!!

[identity profile] spankingfemme.livejournal.com 2010-09-10 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh lord! Thank god we live in a time where you are no longer considered a second class citizen for being female *eye roll*

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2010-09-10 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Pfft. Not everywhere, unfortunately. And not as much as one would think in certain "modern" countries of europ.

[identity profile] spankingfemme.livejournal.com 2010-09-12 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah :( This is sad and very unfortunate. I cringe when I read about women being stoned for daring to 'look a man in the eye' how dare she be so bold! XC
