Obsession with skulls?

Whew. I managed to finish the first ten pages of my printed comic Psychopompes. The first ten pages are needed for a preview magazine. So, that's a whole week to sketch, ink, shade and letter 10 pages. Didn't think I could do it, but I did. I spent my vacation on this. Tired now. I'm happy with the result.

I can't show you guys the actual pages. But here's a few select panels from those pages, just so I can show off a bit.

Aside from that, i'm loving all the Tangled (Disney's "Rapunzel") concept art all over the internet. Behold :

As always, Disney knows how to do expressions. I love it. I hope the artbook for this movie will be instructive. Pixar artbook tend to be a bit meh. I,m hoping the Disney 3D animated feature ones might be better. You can learn a lot from artbooks.

I really like the look of black and white art with the grey tones more than color...and more than just black and white. Not having such stark contrasts really makes your art stand out more to me. I hope this sells well!

And now I feel bad... I knew of this concept art, but I guess since I've been gone for a few days it's not like I could tell you about it. Agreed on Disney and expressions. This reminds me when I saw the Bolt concept art on display in Florida. It was so great to see! It made me wish the movie had been traditionally animated... I feel the same about Tangled, but from what little I've seen I don't doubt it will be well animated for CG.

heh this week I was actually talking with my illustration teacher and he say the same about Pixar artbook's being meh. And I still found hilarious how Disney try to show more about the thief guy but people still go: that's such a girls movie

Nice panels babe! =D And that's damn good to hear you doing all that in such a short period of time! =D Speaking of vacation, how is the whole job front?

Disney does awesome expressions! I loves them so! =D This flick looks very fun ;)

Ooh, super-intriguing! I'd love to see this comic.

I hear what you say about Disney expressions. The thing I noticed about Disney versus Don Bluth's style, for example, was that in Disney you can take ANY still of a character and it will be flattering to the character; with Bluth there are a LOT of in-between ugly expressions.

The pages look great! The shades and tones really add to the atmosphere.

Concept sketches yay! I see icon potential for some of these. Disney does do expressions well. I can't wait to see this movie.

The panels look amazing! Nice flow of emotion and everything~

I do love Disney's expressions, especially the one where she's feeding the horse. xD
