secondlina: (Sad)

End of an era

The story starts like this. Two young teenagers grow up and go to highschool in a small town around Toronto. They are called Stephan and Celeste. Stephan is gay, but has a rather doctrinal father that likes to repeat that being gay is an abomination of the lord and that his son is full of sin (I don't want to throw in the right/wrong gay debate, but I think everyone agrees there is a WAY to handle talking about it. to his son)

As a consequence,  Stephan goes out with Celeste for most of High school. Eventually the cat came out the bag but Celeste supported Stephan and even acted as a *cover up* versus his family. Then they both moved to Ottawa to attend university and distance themselves from various family problems.

At the university of Ottawa, these two best friends meet a strange, short geek with glasses. At first, the geek named Isabelle is shy around them. But as time goes, she becomes confortable and they get in all sorts of crazy shit, including running away from insane turkeys while taking photos in a field.

Now, Celeste and Stephan just graduated and are headed to Vancouver, BC to start their lives as professionnals. Today is our last meeting for 2009.

I'm kinda sad they are leaving. Those two were excellent friends, but as per usual, i'm pretty good at long distance relationships. I'll miss Celeste's humor and wit. I'll miss Stephans caring spirit. They are awesome people and you can tell just by looking at them that those two are going to be together forever.

Goodbye you guys, it's been awesome.

p.s. I am eating a butterball turkey sandwich. Turkeys are nasty. I feel no shame eating this.. Mmmmmh revenge is tasty.

*laughs* Turkeys, geese and swans are the most dangerous animals on the planet!

It's sad when friends go, but it sounds like you guys have the kind of relationship that will survive long distances and hey, you'll have a place to crash when ever you go to BC. ^_~

I have a woman in every port, at the sailors say!

Oh hell, swans. Swans are nasty birds. Plus they swim funny. And yes they are considered beautiful. BUT DEADLY.

What, Vancouver? They're just a few hours north of me then! That's actually kind of cool.... I know it seems far away, but seeing how you still manage to talk to me it's not really. They're still on the same continent. Plus, now you have even more reason to visit the West Coast of Canada someday! Vancouver, B.C. is a really neat place. I want to go visit again soon. (And contrary to your adventure, while I was exploring Vancouver with my Brit friend, we were approached by a very friendly Canadian goose.)

I don't really mind so much that they move. As I said, I have plenty of LDR with friends, family (my extended family lives 4 hours away) and love so, i'm an expert by now. What sucks is that once in a while you just want to hang out, in the area, and when all your relations are LDR is makes it difficult. But I do enjoy having friends all over the world.

Oh trust me, I know. Like all of the friends I made working down at Disney? They all live on the eastern-half of the continent. Which stinks because who knows if I'll see them again. Plus, after leaving Toronto last year I was sad and wanted to go back because it was too much fun spending time with all of you. The distance thing is no fun at all. The internet is good for communication at least. You might want to tell your departing friends about Skype (at least) if they don't use it already. Sometimes just hearing someone's voice helps bridge the gap. ^_-

(But seriously, it is more incentive to get you to come to the West Coast one of these days. B.C. is such beautiful countryside...and last I knew, there are no killer turkeys on the loose.)

I'm sorry you're losing the proximity of your friends. But, as I can attest, you can have WONDERFUL friends in distant places. *wink*

Fowl are evil. Ask my mom. She used to live on a small farm with chickens. She HATED them!

DAMN YOU POULTRY, DAMN YOU!

Yeah, I don't know what I would do without you guys! You're both a form of confort and entertainement *laughs*

Hey, we've had two moving cars attacked by wild turkeys just in the last week -- they're evil, man, evil!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
They wish to take over the wooooorld.

The turkeys already *have* taken over the world. I give you: Washington, D.C.
