The more I keep working on this stuff, the more I regret not seeing the Wicked Musical (It was in Toronto last summer too. What A dope I am!) I wonder if it's still ongoing?
*dies laughing* Now I get what you mean when that last conversation of ours got turned into an entire page.
I absolutely love the coloring you did in Link's introduction. It reminds me a lot of when he colored one of the posts of you and the works a few months back.
If I recall correctly, in our conversation, Lina just bitched. Knowing how violentce prone she is, I decided to give her a bit of power. It's going to be a long trip.
I like the fact that that panel is colored. It's like...you had to underline the green XD
You just had to make a dark winged work wearing a bowtie, didn't you? Chisery is adorable! The colored panel was a nice touch, too. Very dramatic. ^_- (Lina amuses me, too. Don't mess with shoes copping an attitude!)
Chisery is very cute, and most likely the only talking work you'll ever see. As for Lina, I figured having her as shoes would only increase her agressivity.
Too bad he's already taken, else I'd swipe that evil little work. ^_- Hey, at least Lina still has the ability to talk. Can you imagine if she couldn't even do that?
lovely! i'm glad you are enjoying Wicked, i read it back in grade 9, so awesome.. hmm. i shoudl read it again. and the musical was cool but was very different from the book
I didn't actually see the musical, but I heard the soundtrack and read the script. It is very different. The musical seems to be more upbeat and deals more with the relationship between Elphie and Glinda. The book is more about the nature of evil. The last chapters had me all chocked up, as you read about Elphie spiraling towards her end. When she was clinging to hope that fiero was the scarecrow and attacking them randomly to make sure, it made me sad, especially since in the musical, the scarecrow IS Fiero.
I feel bad for Liir too. For sure the book was really sad. But good.
Link is pret-ty in green! Interesting what he is riding. Is there actually a vehicle something like that or is it completely your imagination?
Lina as shoes with an attitude is so funny and original! Love the comment about Sylphiel's act of mercy. So far this is the best OZ parody I've seen in a long time!
"Wicked" was very good, but ultimately sad. His other books based on fairy tales are strange, ironic, and interesting as well. I've yet to read the sort of sequel to "Wicked", "Son of a Witch." (or maybe it's "Son of the Witch". Guess I otta look it up.
The vehicule is an optical mouse. (It's even written Evilptical on it) ^^
I hope this parody will be good. Since I just finished reading wicked, i'm sortoff mixing elements from that novel, the musical, the film and the original fairy tales. The whole "Ozma and the Wizard fightig for the throne" thing is a quotation from the Wicked novel.
Elphie is by far one of the characters I have enjoyed the most in a novel for a long time.
Duh! I should have recognized it as a mouse, since I've been using the things since 1984, around when the first Mac came out. [Hits head on desk]
Yup, I recognized the novel quotation. "Wicked" is one of my favorite novels of the 21st century. That Oz books (along with the Alice books) were my very favorites when I was an elementary school kid might have something to do with it,too.
My youngest brother has a thing about the movie's Wicked Witch. One Halloween, he dressed himself up, face putty, green makeup, dress, hat, etc. as the Witch. He had the voice down pat. We've sent each other WWW cards and small stuff for years.

Out of curiousity, did you ever see Wizard of Oz anime series I watched it all the time as a kid. Ozma does actually show up in it.
