Nothing solves a problem like a light saber duel.

So, yep. It's been a while. Four years to be exact.
To be completly honest, when this whole thing started out I was much more clueless and...violent. Heck, after my friends told me that Link liked me THAt way I was going to push him in the Outaouais river that crossed our town. Then again, considering he jumped in it himself a few times, he might have taken that more as a come-on then a rejection. *laughs*

But then I DIDN'T shove him in the river. Although on occasion i'd love to go fetch a bucket of the river's water to dunk it on his head i'm happy I didn't. *laughs* It's not a bad relationship and I can vouch that there is more occasions where I feel like cuddling then there is where I want to start  pommeling him with pillows.  I think the hardest part of this is most likely the distance and our respective prides/bubbles/independances. But Link makes me smile and i'm happy when he's around. ^_^

So yeah. Hit me with a frilly wand and call me girly cheesy.

Happy anniversary Link. ^_^

Okay, that'd be totally cool if you did have a lightsaber fight to determine if you were in love. I'd be totally all over that. And, in fact, (sorry, Link!) I'll just have to believe that because it seems too awesome. XD

Congratulations, both of you!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
When I was younger I wanted to be a padawan. Episode 2 ruined it for me XD

'Grats on 4 years! ^^ It's also been 4 years for my BF and I this year. I agree with the previous commenter, The Light Saber duel would be an awesome way to determine if you're in love with someone. ;D

Again, 'grats to you and your BF on 4 years. ^^

Thanks!

I'm going to side with the sidekick. I know by now not to take drawings for the gospel truth. Still, I like the thought of a lightsaber duel as well. XD

Happy Anniversary, you two! (And steer clear of rivers, Link!)

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
My drawings usually have a disarming honesty, I tell you XD

[identity profile] dqbunny.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Happy anniversary, you two!! *glomps*

I can now imagine the two of you getting married. For the wedding ceremony, instead of having traditional vows, you would have a lightsaber duel in order to prove his worthiness. Stef! We should had suggested that for your wedding! Oh wait, Bryan did have swords...

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Brian should have had to duel ALL of Stef's bridesmaids. What else are they there for?

*evil grin*

[identity profile] dqbunny.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
And Shelli and I could had run the betting pool!!! *cackles*

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Its not like there weren't already wagers on the wedding. ^_^ Like whether Stef would trip walking down the aisle!

*giggles madly*

[identity profile] dqbunny.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, I won that one! I said she wouldn't trip at all. <3

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
You just got lucky that she got the klutz attack over and done with at the bachelorette party!

I'm still highly amused that I managed to witness one of the famous klutz-attacks in my short stay. ^_^

[identity profile] dqbunny.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
*wipes emo tear* It was a thing of beauty.

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it truly was.

*remembers it fondly*

[identity profile] kitesareevil.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
See my comment to Megs. And don't think you'll ever get to witness that again, I haven't fallen in months!

Nearly broken fingers, sure, but not FALLEN!

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
hehe, well I'd have to be in the same town as you again to start...

mmm and you're probably just being compensated by the universe because you're sick again. Once you get better you'll be hit by another klutz attack! XP

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh you lie! You know you love us!

*tackle glomps and pins*

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man...that reminds me of something!

That's right...Ranma! *laughs*

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations!

You know what this means though? Your respective parents are going to start dropping not-so-subtle hints about getting married, and worse! Like having kids!

Depends on the parents, of course, Jason's mum was trying to hook me and him up so we could get married and have kids and we were just platonic roommates. *giggles* She embarrassed him so much!

Well anyway, happy 4 years!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really see the not-so-sublte hints happening. Is parents aren't really that way and i've made it clear to mine that them asking anything in that direction will result in their suddent deaths XD

And thanks

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
hehe, lucky you then!

Ever since I came out mum's been dropping the occasional despairing remark about not having grandchildren as well as lamenting the fact that I'm not dating right now. (Course I'm in hicks-ville right now, odds of finding someone here are pretty low... go Pembroke! ... god I can't wait to get back to Ottawa.)

Anyway, at least she doesn't do it that often.....

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
The lackness of boyfriend will cause lackness of grandchildren. XD

You,ll have to tell me when you get back to Ottawa! I'm leaving to toronto until July. Otherwise it would be cool to meet or something. ^^

[identity profile] neshel.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
hehe, ya, though I point out there are alternatives to traditional methods. ^_^

ahhh, I don't know when I'll be back in Ottawa. I have a job here right now and I'm saving up some money by living with my folks and stuff.

But I go into Ottawa for various reasons all the time, its only a little over an hour drive. It could be cool to meet. =)

Congrats for 4 years! I would probably believe Link more, but I like the Jedi duel version. ^_~

(And now that I think about it [livejournal.com profile] gullwhacker and I have been together for almost 4 years too!)

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
4 years: the popular number.

Jedi duels are cool! I'm going to try to convince Link to abide to my version. Abide I say!

[identity profile] the-flowergirl.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Happy Anniversary you two!

That's how long Gourry and I have been together too!

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
As mentionned before: 4, the popular number *laughs*

[identity profile] snapdragon76.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
*Bwahahahahahahaaaaaaa*

How awesome! I think the lightsaber duel kicks ass! I'd love to have a lightsaber...

*makes lightsaber noises*

And congrats to you two!!! *squeeeeee*

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
*make more lightsaber noises*

[identity profile] snapdragon76.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
*giggles*

Happy to have made it alive this long

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-19 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. I figured you'd have killed me out of frustration a while ago. I'm kinda glad you didn't.

But I am glad that you've pass that *I can't get angry at you for some reason I don't understand phase*.
That was a little odd. What's a relationship without a little jostle here and there. Even if that means the occasional pillow pummelling. ^^

Plus I can only appreciate your embracing of your girly side. Who can blame me.

Happy anniversary Isa

PS: I look cool with sun glasses and no rat tail. Almost matrixy like.

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I could have killed you, but then I had nowhere to stash the body so instead I just decided to put you to good use. It's a win-win situation XD

[identity profile] anna-nimmie-tee.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. This cartoon sorta explains why you've taken the name secondlina. Fear of romance and fighting with someone who'll eventlually be your steady boyfriend/companion? Heh, heh.

Happy anniversary to you both. Long may you be together! (It can be done. I've known my husband 41 years (Holy heck! Just realized that.) and have been married almost 37 of 'em. Time flies when you're have fun and fights.)

[identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, the word secondlina came from a joke, but the're is a lot of parallels to be made between me and lina according to my friends, so it works too ^^

41 years?! O_O that's long! My parents have been at it for 25. It's good to hear though. Especially with all the divorces flying around. That people actually do get married and stick with it instead of marrying whoever whenever because of odd reasons and splitting up not even a year after.
