Wolfbane

Just something I drew after reading way too many poems about the Celts. They be awesome.

In other news, I have a Christmas tree. Since the whole party is happening at my house this year, we put extra effort into decorating. So, plenty of festive lights and candy canes for my belly! ...I may need to buy some more before the 25th gets here.

On the bad side, I urgently need to purchase jeans. Mine are either too tight (at least when I wear my winter long johns underneath) or full of holes. I also need to buy some pentel refills for inking. So that means... DUN DUN DUN. I need to enter a mall. And I worked so hard to avoid that during my Christmas shopping. Looks like i'm back to this :

Thing drawn 1 years ago : still appropriate.

It gets crowded and WEIRD during the holidays when you work in a store. We had this one lady that asked us for a blue book. The only thing she knew about the book was that it was blue. We also get people who ask us about books that don't yet exist. Or that ask things like "where's the section of books written by Quebecois people for eight year olds?" (like books are that specific? What about taste?) and this older lady asked us for crucifixes. Because apparently bookstores should sell those. The list goes on. Thank GOD for the friendly people among the weirdos.

I'm also a bit tired of explaining to people that we are not a library, we are a bookstore. It's surprising, but we get at least a person a day who does not grasp this concept (and it's not all kids either). So no, you can eat in the bookstore, or borrow the books, or read for hours, or drop off your kids and leave, or have us write your research papers. FER PETE'S SAKE.

Still love my job though.

:D
