Ghost stories

Does anyone know a couple of good ghost stories? I'm trying to write a little booklet about ghosts, and I need some inspiration, it seems! This means that pretty soon, i'll be on my way to a big LIBRARY ROAD TRIP (that's quite nerdy, my friends. Just the way I like it). :D


I'm back from weddings one and two. It was all very fun. Lots of happy people, a bit of drama among the girls, a bit of long moments where I didn't know what to do with myself, dancing and food. So all and all, a great success. Best of luck to the happy couples!


I’m a big fan of Adventure Time, it’s an adorably original kid’s show. The last episode was a genderbent” episode, and as a nod to Sailot Moon, the main character had to wear Princess Serenity’s dress to a bal. So that made me want to draw the scouts in the Adventure time. Turned out well. These are the inner scouts, with Luna and Tuxedo Mask.

I also did the outerscouts with chibimoon and Helios.

There was also another story in which one of the galleries downtown bans alcohol being drank in a certain room in it because a ghost was said to drink all of it and wreck any paintings that were in there.

There's also suppose to be a ghost at the boys residence at the university that takes letters and leaves pennies in their place. And hey, there is also the story of Bloody Mary too.

Some of the traditional Japanese ghost stories are absolutely wonderful! You might want to see if your library has a copy of "Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Things." =)

I feel like the only person who hasn't seen the leaked episode of Adventure Time with Fiona and Cake. All I've seen are screencaps and such... =/

My dead cat haunts my dreams. (And I love her for it.) Aside from that... If you need more fodder to freak yourself out later - maybe - there are quite a few good shows on t.v. that cover ghost stories. I imagine more than a few have been leaked to YouTube and the like.

You totally censored Sailor Jupiter's butt crack! Just like the original North American anime release. How dare you? ^_-

There's a Korean ghost story that starts with a girl going to sleep with her hair hanging off the edge of her bed/futon.
As soon as the room is dark and the girl is asleep a ghost appears in a corner of the room. It crawls across the floor towards her hair and starts counting the strands one by one. If it counts all the strands before the girl wakes up, it'll kill her.

To make it even worse, this ghost can count ten times faster than normal.

So I've been all "fsadjklfsd MUST comment on Lina's posts so much pretty art ;; omg omg omg so much I love it, need to post" and then something would happen and I Couldn't so I was like "D:< DAMMIT IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO COMMENT" and so I was going to anyway--and then Sailor Moon HIT ME IN THE FACE WITH AWESOME and I died a little. I don't know any ghost stories since I'm a fraidy cat and YAY weddings--but since I'm dead I'm sure we can come up with a ghost story about me.

Oooh, I have some great ghost stories, some of which I thought should definitely be illustrated but I was too lazy. You'd be perfect for it! I can tell you a few if you like, or email them to you. And you have to pester my sister to tell you her version of the Wendigo. She just made it up one night but it scared the pants off me.

AWESOME fanart! You did a great job of capturing the Adventure Time style while keeping your own personal flare in it!

Also, I love the Sailor Moon art. I'm getting the impression I'll have to give up the ghost and watch Adventure Time eventually. ;) What I've caught of the last couple of episodes (gender bending and the doormaster) have seemed fun.
