Piece by piece
So, I met
threeeyesworm in person for the first time at TCAF last weekend (we were back-to-back tables, no joke). And not even a week later, he's visiting Montréal. So OBVIOUSLY we got together and started pulling the shenanigans artists always pull when they get together with pencils.
We drew. A lot. As a tandem. Basically, I drew a part of a drawing, and he did too, and then we switched, added stuff, switched again, etc. We produced a ton of drawings in a very short amount of them. And for some reason, even though our taste in movies are opposites, our imaginations seem in tune. Check it out :

I just want to ink ALL of these. Hahah!
The week ended. Thank god I can sleep in tomorrow. Urgh. Isa need sleep.
Also, some of you might recall me mentioning "Berger Blanc", a privately owned animal pound who has a contract with the city of Montréal and treats animals horribly. Today, there was a protest in front of City Hall to encourage the city to revoke the contract and to prevent privately owned pounds to cut corners by mistreating animals. Me and Link went. There's another protest on May 28th. If you are in Montréal and care about suffering animals, please join! It costs nothing. Just being there in greater numbers allows us to make a statement.

Think of the fluffy animals.

Now that's one protest I could stand behind! Here's to alerting more of the general public to what's going on to cause change! Almost makes me sad I can't be there. I'm apparently very good at being an angry protester...
(In other randomness, how goes the fledgling plot bunny?)

The protest was pretty peaceful actually. But it's important to do it none the less.
(Plotbunny is being chewed in and out by my brain. I probably won't have time to work on it seriously for the next few weeks, but our conversations are giving me a LOT to think about.)

Hey, peaceful protesting is the best way to go! Just look at Egypt! Violent protests are the worst, since they only make people angry at protesters for trashing everything. The message gets lost. So keep at a peaceful protest! Wouldn't want to upset the four-legged protesters, after all. ^_-
(It's on the back burner for me as well. Still needing to learn a lot at work, but maybe on Monday when I get one day off, my brain can go fallow and produce something more. I'll be sure to let you know if anything sprouts.)

It's been ages since I've done collaborative doodling with another artist. I need to make time for that sometime soon....
I'm glad to hear that pressure is still being put on the government to shut down Berger Blanc. Here's hoping the protests work.

I recommend it. It's really fun and motivating.
I hope it works too. Berger Blanc is disgusting and deserves to be shut down and burned.

Aw, thanks! I just wish I could do more to help the animals (like actually adopt some... if only I wasn't so allergic!)

Generally, horrible living conditions, badly done letal injections and just horrible treatment.
