AAARGH

What can you do, trapped in a waiting room, waiting for doctors to figure out why you can't breathe?

SKETCH ANGRILY ON GIVEN LINED PAPER.

I don't get it. Last Christmas, I got pretty sick. since then, my lungs have been worthless whenever there's a little smoke or I have the flue. Yet, every time I go see doctors, nothing is wrong. I don't get it. My lungs are perfect. It's so weird.

To go to said clinic, I took a sick day. Flue is still growing strong. I worked from home a bit and answering a few tech support emails and calls.

I got to meet the worse client ever.

The guy pretended to be a whole lot of things and threatened to call the police and lawyers and god knows what else because he didn't want a payment on his credit card. I figured out what the transaction was and for what, and he did agree that he did pay for that and want it. And yet proceeded to say he was going to put our company on stand for various other reasons. I managed to stay calm the whole time, which I think pissed him more since I wasn't angry or frightened. After this call, I felt exhausted. This is the worse call I ever had to take, and it happened while I was weak and sick. Marvelous. I can't believe people and how silly they are. This guy felt this incredible need to bare his teeth and yell at me and enumerate all the things he was going to put the company through despite me telling him that I was going to transfer him to my boss for him to whine to his heart's content. It's like, dude, i'm a tech monkey. I don't have influence on what my company does. I just answer emails. I,m guessing that's probably why he wanted to whine. Because he would get no consequence from it from a sad little tech monkey. At least he wasn't rude to me directly, though he did call me nosy and said I was doing illegal things because I could see his account. *sigh*

Now i'm going to go make food and stare at the television for a while. I wish I wasn't sick. :(

Sounds like the doctor isn't taking you seriously. I agree with above posters. Get a second opinion.

One thing to remember about people is that they're amazingly bold and brave when not confronting you in person. I bet the guy was full of it, or worse, perhaps one of those people who believes in conspiracies and thinks the government is out to destroy him. I hope you don't have to field such calls for a long time after this.

The only issue with that is that this is my third or so opinion. I just get the feeling that maybe they aren't checking the right spot. I wish I had a family doctor. I don't. So when I go to clinics or hospitals, it's always as an "emergency" patient (no other choices) and it's pretty in-an-out (kinda feels like a car wash).

You just solved your problem. Get an actual doctor, it's not always best to rely on emergency care doctors. They're going to be looking more for immediate concerns, not health issues that develop over time. They just don't have the resources (a file on your health in the past _____ years) to do so accurately at all.

Yeah, The only issue with THAT is that I have been trying to get a family doctor for the past 6 years (aka since my old doctor retired). There's no openings anywhere. :(

In all honesty, the only reason why I got to see emergency doctors is because there's no other options.

Like most people who don't have doctors, I have my medical records in hand though.
