Gah, just so you don't think I'm a homophobe or anything, the person who ever made me feel the most scared and awkward was the local drunk in a small town I got stranded in in Montana. That man truly did scare me because it was obvious he wasn't really aware of what he was saying, or what was going on. Even when I scrambled to hide out in my van (unfortunately with the windows open because it was summertime and HOT), he followed and stuck his head through the window and kept babbling at me.
Having a drunkard tell you you're pretty... *shudder* I think substance abusers are far scarier than people with an alternative lifestyle (as far as their gender and sexual preferences go) to my own.
