Well, Canada in general is more open with that sort of thing, isn't it? The most extreme thing I usually see is gay people. I don't mind those who are comfortable with who they are at all, but the "flaming gays" (people who practically push it down your throat) do weird me out. Of course, I always encounter people like that when I'm working, so I have to remain professional about it. Perhaps that's a good thing...

(I also live in a generally small community than say a city like Seattle, so I've less chance to see more extreme people in society. Most do seem to flock to Seattle -where I encounter them only rarely...the art snobs over there terrify me!- or go to California or something.)
