Humans are the only species who kiss, although dogs and some cats learn to do when they've been with humans long enough (affectionately instead of just searching for food). So really, kissing does have a power all its own. There just is no match for it. It's why, knowing that now, I can understand how it's such a big deal. One kiss really can change everything.
