Toronto night lights

Aye am back!
People might have noticed I was very absent lately. No, i'm not dead. I just spent a few days with Link, and then with Link in Toronto.
I actually helped him to pack up everything, clean and load the car, that was driven by a friend called Joel. We finished the packing process around 3h am (which is good when you consider that we started about the same day most of it)
As soon as that was done, we decided "who they heck really needs sleep anyways?" and left immediatly for a trip of about 4 hours. We got in Toronto about around 7h am. Link's brother was there and awake to greet us. The guy works night shift. I feel his pain. I've been working night shift for three days and my sleep pattern is completly off the wack.
After unpacking was done, the rest of the time in Toronto was pretty much composed of talking, looking at warhammer figurines (mix between risk and D&D), visiting appartements (because Link, his brother and their roomate are seeking a new one for september since the one they have lacks certain things like flooring). I din't get to play tourist although I really wanted to (I saw the university campus from far away. Wah, I wanted to go run in it! >_< Not to mention all those comic book and anime shops I saw zooming past me in the car! Dammit! GIANT MOKONA PLUSHIES!)
It was a bit of a rushed week, and my sleep pattern was sent to oblivion. Hell, around 1am the next night, me, Link and Joel were wide awake and looking for a place where a meal could be purchased. We ended up eating street meat (a hot dog stand) because there is apparently no 24/7 food chain in Toronto (I at least expected a Tim Hortons. I mean, I work in one, I know they are freaking everywhere and always open!)
I really hate being rushed, but it was still a good visit, it was generally a lot of fun. I kinda regret not really having the time to say goodbye to Link (I was kinda rushed unwards while they were going to visit in appartement) but that's life heh?
I got home and collasped. I've been lacking sleep and uber sick all week, so I pretty much spent the next day in my bed making slight weak sounds of death. The trip really did me in ^^;;; My body needs healing potions!
Other then that, I feel a bit shitty, but i'm told it's natural. I'm keeping busy, so i'm suprised about how much I think about Link. I figure it will still be a week before I really miss him, since i'm used to not seeing for long periods of time. I can still feel the depression tugging at me. Gah. I don't wanna be depressed. I hate that feeling. Link probably won't be depressed. He's got plenty of things to do, most of them being with his brother, who is really a great person ^^! I doubt he's got time to waste over me ^^;;;; Besides, I don't think anybody should mope over me, i'm really not worth it ^^;;;; Gah. I actually fell like a big loser for being depressed in the first place. It's been what...two days? I'm friggin' pathetic. I sound like one of those evil cligny girlfriends.

anyways....

Next week I work the friggin' morning shift. People on the shift are evil in nature and numerous in number. I'd send the morning staff to the deepest circle of hell, but i'm pretty damn sure Tim Hortons as a franchise down there.
I wanna go back on evening shift dammit.

I,m also trying to get my ex-boss and the advertisement people to pay me the money they still owe me, which rounds up to about 600$ I want. Grr.

Other then that, i'm generally okay. I talked to Joel for 4 hours on the way back and it was fun (despite the fact that we got lost in Toronto and then confused on the way). We stopped at a Tim Hortons (Noooo, Tim hortons rules my life now! th3 3vil!) and a bunch of giggling 14 year olds asked us if we dated (what the hell? I barely know him) I,m glad since Joel seemed very interested in my class work. I'm most likely gonna use him as a volonteer for my crazy photo projects. All my friends have had to pose in at least one project. Any newcomers now suffer that fate too. Most likely because the newcomers are all excited about it and don't point a shotgun to my head yet when I pull out my camera.

Oh, in a good unrelated news, I discovered yesterday while reading Spirou (basicly the french comic version of what would be the shonen jump magazine of european comics) the conclusion of one of my favorite series that has been going on for nearly 15 years!
It's the story of Papyrus, a brave egyptian teenager back in the old pharaoh days. He started off as a simple fisherman until he found a magic sword that has an amount of power equal to his courage. He then rescues the princess of egypt and has adventures with her ever since.

Well, to the joy (and absolute and utter surprise in my case) of fans, Papyrus and the princess finish together. It was somewhat obvious, but at the same time, european characters tend to never get the girl. Dunno why. The last book is very cheezy in nature, and not super good, but I think it was an interesting conclusion to the story. This drawing really triggered my attention because it appeared on a page rather out of the blue:

Go Papyrus! Mack that princess! (aka they aren't half naked. They are wearing traditional egyptian garments.)

Well, I think it's time for me to sleep.

I've been wearing Link's shirt for two days. I'm gonna wash it tomorrow. I should.
