I've also had (still have) a good relationship with both of my parents. Even though they're divorced, they are still civil toward each other and have never used me as a pawn to get back at each other or tried to badmouth the other in front of me. I know too many children of divorced parents who are like that, sad to say.

And it's very cool that your parents encouraged your creativity.
