I saw the Tinkerbell movie when I was still down in Florida. It was very charming, and the animation was actually a lot better than I was expecting for a straight-to-dvd movie. It's actually an offshoot of Disney's new Fairies line, for which the art is AMAZING. If you haven't seen any artwork yet, you need to! A few years back I actually bought a Disney's Fairies calendar for a friend (she adores fairies), but I adored the art so much, I bought one for me as well! I still have it, too. The art is just that good!

...anyway, Tinkerbell being able to talk is explained away very well. She still sounds like chiming bells to humans. If she couldn't be understood by other fairies, that would be pretty awkward... (In any case, I really want to see the new movie that just came out. It also looks to be very cute. I know what my kids will be watching! ..whenever I get to have kids.)

Oh! If you really want to be weirded out by hearing 'Katara' elsewhere, watch American Dragon: Jake Long. She voices the love interest of the main character. That main character just so happens to be voiced by none other than Zuko's voice actor...and it's so bizarre!
